Pitfall on Pay with Miles?

 Pay with Miles의 약관을 살펴보다 보니 다음과 같은 내용이 눈에 띄네요.

 In the event of a refund (including fully refundable fares), only the paid portion of a refundable fare will be credited back to the credit card, the Pay with Miles portion of the fare will be returned as non-refundable credit equivalent to the dollar value of the portion of the ticket redeemed with Pay with Miles. Credit may be used to purchase future travel and Pay with Miles terms and conditions will not apply to such tickets.

 그러니까 Pay with Miles로 환불 가능한 티켓을 구매했다가 취소하는 경우,
 사용한 마일리지를 다시 SkyMiles 계정으로 돌려주는 것이 아니라
 차후 티켓 구매시(에만) 사용할 수 있는 credit으로 돌려준다는거잖아요.
 물론 'equivalent'를 계산하는 방식을 정확히는 모르겠지만
 적어도 Pay with Miles로 낮춘 액수만큼은 계산해주는거겠죠.
 그렇다면 이거 의외의 틈새가 되지 않을까 싶습니다.

 이런 제도가 가능한 이유가 아마도 (윗 문단보다 조금 더 위에 있는)

 Except for tickets refunded under Delta's Risk Free Cancellation policy, miles redeemed with Pay with Miles cannot be re-deposited in the member's SkyMiles Account - even for fully refundable fares.

 조항 때문인 것 같아요. Pay with Miles로 결제한 마일리지는 절대 원위치로 돌려받을 수 없다는.

 어쨌든 현금으로 지불한 나머지 액수는 어차피 고스란히 돌려받을 수 있는거니까
 Fully refundable ticket을 Pay with Miles + 신용카드로 구매 후 환불 받은 다음 equivalent credit은 다음번에 정상적인 표를 구할 때 이용한다면
 Pay with Miles 프로그램 룰의 한계(이 프로그램을 써서 구매한 표는 마일리지 적립이 불가능하다는)를 일부나마 우회할 수 있지 않을까 싶네요.
